This condominium, (40 apartments) was built in the late 70's and has its own swimming pool and a paddling pool for younger children.

A secluded garden with benches under the trees offers a perfect retreat for reading or relaxing in a shaded spot.

The building was a former hotel, which explains the grand lobby and the high quality of the communal areas and facilities. Each apartment has a private parking space in the secure basement.

ACCOMMODATION DETAILS

Main living and dining area is comfortably furnished with a new sofa bed (sleeps 2) and includes a wall-mounted TV and a Hi-Fi (radio, CD, cassette and speakers). The dining area is dressed with an antique cupboard, and dining table with bench and chairs for 4, although you are likely to take most meals on the balcony.

The entrance to the apartment opens into a lobby area that is equipped with a sofa-bed, (sleeps 2). This provides a secondary area with its own TV. In the evening, this area can be separated from the main living room by a sliding glass door to create a double bedroom. The bathroom has a shower over the tub and a hair dryer.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge-freezer, dish washer, washing machine, electric cooker with oven & four hobs, extractor fan, microwave, coffee-expresso machine, toaster, juice extractor, toasted sandwich maker and electric chopper. The apartment has its own washing machine, and a large tumble drier is available in basement.

Balcony / Terrace

The large balcony (10 square meters) has wonderful views and is a perfect place for relaxing and al fresco dining. It is undoubtedly a highlight of this apartment as the photos clearly illustrate - When in Nice, 'see' Nice!

LOCATION

Nice enjoys a beautiful weather and is bustling with activity throughout the year, making this a holiday destination for all seasons. The old town is very picturesque and the flower market is open everyday.

The Monday afternoon flea market is well know and attracts visitors from the surrounding are, with many coming from Italy, which is only a short distance away. The beaches stretch all along the 'Promenade des Anglais', West towards the airport and Cagnes-Sur-Mer. You can choose between public beaches or the private beaches, plus the many beach bars and restaurants.

The harbour is a scene of constant activity with boats of all type - pleasure and working, including the ferries that depart for Corsica and Sardinia.

Nice (Nizza) has many attractions including the Chagall Musee in Cimiez and the Matisse Art gallery. The franciscan monastery and its beautiful gardens overlooking the sea as well as the Roman theatre nearby deserve a visit. The apartment is conveniently located for the motorway leading to Italy.

Ventimiglia is a common shopping destination, where many items such as tobacco and alcoholic drinks are less than half the price in France. Head inland and you will experience a very different scenery, with hair-pin bends winding up into the Alps. The skiing season in nearby resort stretches from November to March. Head South (by ferry!) you will arrive in Corsica and Sardinia.

BOOKING INFORMATION

The rental apartment building is located at the start of the 'basse corniche', which was the former main road leading to Villefranche, Monte-Carlo and on to Italy. The bulk of the traffic now takes the motorway. The centre of nice is within walking distance, it is advisable to hire a car. The apartment has an allocated parking lot and you will be provided with the code for the electric gates.
